Miken’s Filby, DeMarini’s Larsen and Easton’s Wegman all hit 11!
May 24, 2013 – Round two of the Stadium Power Tour was a double shot, with a pre and post game show at Great American Ball Park in Cincinnati. A sellout crowd of 40,000 plus saw big blasts from 10 Long Haul Bombers before and after the Reds & Cubs game.
Chris Larsen from DeMarini lead off and set the bar high, with several upper deck shots and ended the day with 11 points.
Team Reebok had a strong debut as Dustin Roberts and Chris Greinert both blasted 9 points, going deep into the yard with more massive upper deck blasts.Easton’s Brian Wegman, poured on the power, hitting through the pain of a sore shoulder and yet still managed to hit 11. “I see the doctor on Monday, right now it hurts, but playing in front of my hometown and a sellout crowd,I was running on pure emotion.” His Easton team mate Brett Helmer hit 10 points, but is even more impressive when you consider that canceled flights forced “The Hitman” to drive 10 plus hours from New York to Cincinnati, just in time to bat in the post game show.
The last Bomber to bat was Kevin “Flip” Filby of DeMarini. the reigning champ put his Miken bat to good use with 11 points, and a 3 way tie for the event.
