May 17, 2017 San Diego California – Round one of the USA Softball Stadium Power Tour featured the same great show bombs and a new young slugger, who put the softball world on notice.
Monsta’s Jerrad “Mess“ Messersmith surprised the crowd. The young, unassuming slugger won the day with 10 big points, off his Monsta FIB Bat, many were 400 plus blasts to left center field. “I’ve been watching the Long Haul Bombers for years on TV, to be on the same field with them and then to win the derby, I’m humble and grateful.“
“Mess” hails just 20 miles north of Petco Park, a large flock of friends and family joined in the celebration afterwards. Monsta’s Ryan “D-train” Dacko, may have summed it up best. “We just might be looking at the new face of softball “.
Miken’s Denny Crine, the 4 time Power Tour Champ, was back after recovering from an injury. The classic Crine home run swing also returned. DC amped up the drama with 9 points and sent the new gold Dudley money ball deep, all the way to the 3rd level of the Western Metal Supply Building at Petco.
